Rolex fried my head...
says my girlfriend. Although I don't own a Rolex, I talk about it with my girlfriend quite often. Maybe too often.
She often rolls her eyes and few times she exclaims, "Rolex fried your head!" Does anyone's girlfriend/wife rolls their eyes with your Rolex obsession? If she say, "it is too expensive", "get a car instead" or "just leave!" what is your response? |

JJ, nice to meet you. When I checked this forum out at first, your posts stood out the most! There is a really good vibe about this forum!
As much as Rolex fried your wallet, you seem so happy wearing your Rolex! |

My girlfriend laughs about how much I talk about my Sea-Dweller and other dive watches - but she's cool with it. Funny story: she got a hold of the big rolex ad from the WSJ a few days back about the Trieste/Piccard/Deep Sea Special and called me at work and started quizzing me on the history of Rolex Divers!! Ha! Putting me to the test! "Tell me who LT Don Walsh is...." she said when I picked up the phone. Luckily, I knew the answers to all the questions. But she likes my Sea-Dweller and laughs at my jokes, so I think she's a keeper.

Everytime my wife talks about something she spent a chunk of money on I always glaze over and mutter..."you could bought a Rolex" and smile and she just rolls her eyes LOL If she wines about my wanting another I glance at her rings and tell her how nice they are.

My response? "Better Rolex than another woman, babe''. Usually does the trick!
