As with most of us Old baby Boomers

I really dont find him very funny or entertaining at all.
I watched his last show and I didn't crack a smile till Will Ferrell was on
doing the Ronnie Van Zant thing ..which I was good laugh over that...he had
Ronnie down and I was surprised the Conan is a pretty good guitar player.
Back when CO started out on late night I thought he was kinda funny and entertaining 15/20 years ago but now he reminds me of Jim Carrey, he tries way to hard to be funny and falls way short now IMHO. Since Im closer to Leno's age
I find him funnier and Jay is good at sitting on the fence poking fun and GOP and the Dem's everynight...I would guess as most of Hollywood... he is Democrat though.
I never much was a Letterman fan either ...has to many inside jokes.. but once a week or so Dave can come up with some good one liners
Norm Mcdonald did a skit on SNL doing D.L. and he was dead on IMHO.
It will be interesting to see if Jay catches up to Dave...my guess is no
after all the CO cat fight.
I hope CO finds a home on Fox or HBO ...he seems to be very popular with
Gen X and Y and im sure he will do better than he did on NBC.
My guess is he will goto Fox since they seem to be after the younger generation

I don't watch any late night shows like that (I prefer South Park) but I read part of Conan's speech for his last show, he sounds like a really nice guy.
AND, he cameod for The Office, so he is instantly cool in my books!

I watch The Daily Show and Colbert Report. Not a big fan of Conan, Dave L, or Leno.
Conan's remarks at the end of his last show were a class act though. Imho, Jay Leno will pay a hefty price when returning to The Tonight Show.

On one hand, I don't want to watch Jay Leno when he gets back to The Tonight Show, I don't want to give him my "viewership" to his ratings, but on the other one, I'm curious to see what's going to happen, because he has now an interesting challenge ahead of him.

I dunno.

How is it Jay's fault? He isn't the one making the negotiations, it's NBC...

It's not Jay's fault. But when asked by NBC if he wanted his old show and time slot back his reply, according to Jay himself, was "sure". Neither Jay Leno or NBC seemed to give a damn that Conan was promised, groomed, and earned the right to host The Tonight Show. Why should Conan pay the price for bad decisions made by NBC and/ or Jay Leno?
If I had the money and success Jay Leno had I'd like to think I would not burn Conan and get into another huge late night war. One in a lifetime would be enough for me. Just my 2 cents.

Last week Jay explained what he take on the whole mess was....he said he asked twice
to get out his contract and was turned down....I really think the whole mess was caused by Zucker at NBC and Conan and Jay were damaged in poor decisions by NBC
President and managers

Nobody, but nobody could, can, or ever will handle the Tonight Show the way Johnny did.

I liked Carson as much as the next guy BUT I really dont think his style would make it today.
Telling Tommy Newson jokes and watching Ed do Bud commercials would not fly with Gen x and Y'ers today..but I really do miss the great Karnack
