Identify My Rolex (With pictures)
Hello guys. I have recently inherited a Rolex, and I'm looking to find some information about it. So far I think it could be a fake, or just been pieced together with different watch parts.
Thanks in advance for any help. Serial number on the face - 5494 Case backing - 33400 |

Welcome to TRF!
The dial looks like a non COSC explorer dial, but have never seen anything like it. Can you make out the year of production? |

That looks like a real Rolex to me. The age, and patina are correct for a 1950's style Rolex. The band is obviously aftermarket, but the case markings are interesting. Are there any serial numbers on the movement, or case?

It could be a Rolex "Bucherer" or a Rolex made only for the Canadian Market. Precision on the face means it's manual wind... It seems as your jeweler doesn't know about vintages!
