New Fountain Pens

Hi all, I'm all excited I bought two fountain pens this week and I wanted to share with everyone what I bought. The first one is a MontBlanc Meisterstuck Doue Silver Barley with a fine nib. And the second one I bought for a beater is a Lami Studio with a fine nib. You guys have me hooked and addicted to fountain pens and I just wanted to share my new purchases!!!

Wow! Congratulations!
Doue Silver Barley! I've been drooling on it for a long time!
Is this the new model that has a diamond on the clip?

Where are the photos?

Hi Lion,

Congrats on the two new pens.

A bit of advice - Fill the pen/s with warm water and empty (and repeat a few times) before filling the pens with ink for the first time. This will remove any manufacturing lubricants inside the pen that could cause the pen to skip and write inconsistently.

Otherwise...enjoy the pens!

Oh, and yes, photos, please, photos....

Leo, congrats on two excellent FPs.
Which color did you get for Lamy Studio ?
Don't forget the photos.

I'll have to post some pictures in the next few days but here goes, Sunburst, the Lami Studio has the Palladium finish and gold nib.....

2careless(Kai), the MontBlanc Doue is not the new one, it is the one with the sterling silver cap and the resin body and is the smaller of the two(maybe like a #144). It is the same size as the A. F. Chopin and what I found interesting is it was cheaper than the model with the stainless steel cap and resin body.....

Shangas, thanx for the information I will definitely take your advise and rinse out the pens first.....

And finally a couple of months ago I bought a MontBlanc A. F. Chopin so I'm absolutely addicted and love the way FPs write(the inks just flows and your hand glides across the paper). And will post some pictures shortly!!!

Leo, Lamy Palladium is nice choice as they come with 14K nib instead of stainless nib as in the other colors.
I got the same one just a few weeks ago.
