Explorer & Eagle Part II

My new Rolex Explorer. I simply can't say enough about this watch. So many things about it make it the most special watch I have ever purchased. And it will likely spend more time on my wrist than any other.
The day before I got the Explorer, I was browsing in a local department store, which sometimes has an interesting assortment of mens' rings. Another passion of mine besides watches. I don't like to attach labels to jewellery. For example, a few of my rings could be labelled as biker's rings. They may well be worn by bikers, but I buy them purely for the artistry and aesthetic value. Such is the Sterling Silver Eagle Ring, by designer "King Baby" that I saw, and thought very appropriate for the Explorer. After buying the watch, I immediately went to the store where I had seen the ring - with my friend Ian, of course - and made the purchase upon his approval as well.
I thought I would get creative and take some shots of my Explorer alongside my new "pet". Hope you enjoy them, but I do need more experience with the camera. Still, it's all in fun, isn't it?:

As time goes by, I will try and get better shots. I do love this watch! I can't really understand why the dial turned out as though it has a matte finish, when it really is quite shiny.

Cheers,
Carl

Great pictures! I think depending on the angle, the glare causes it to look either really shiny or matte.

Carl, did you notice that on the left side of the dial, the R is aligned with the 5 minute marker, and on the right side of the dial, the X is aligned with the 5 minute marker?
This of course is the R and X on the flange (rehaut, for the hoity toity).

Enjoy the watch, keep taking pics, as I'm sure that you must be shooting digitally, so no wasted film!
