Fountain Pens
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a new FP and would like some suggestions on what brand(s) I should buy. I already own a MontBlanc A. F. Chopin FP and want to keep the price to between $200.00 and $600.00. Any of your thoughts on the subject would be appreciated and also where in Chicagoland would be a good place to buy one??? THANX!!!

I'd look right here. I would steer clear of the Montblanc with the little diamond chip at the top. Too much for the little .25 ct addition.
This pen would go well with a Rolex http://www.airlineintl.com/dupont/du...esbond_007.htm http://www.be-dupont.com/Items/708a0...81007%20%20PVD http://www.giardino.it/pens/dupont/_007.htm |

+1 Pelikan M800
![]() ![]() Beware, this is a VERY WET pen. The nib holds a huge reservoir of ink, and lays an extremely wet line (even on my F nib, the ink stands so high!). That's no problem at all, but if you like to throw your pens around, be prepared to stain your fingers! ![]() Can't say enough about the engineering of the piston, build and overall finish. The entire barrel is semi-transparent and you can see the inner workings and remaining ink. It's a light pen, a M400 or M600 may be too light YMMV. Some may prefer a more elliptical/cigar shaped barrel (I do myself), this one is straight which works well with the Stresemann stripes though. Cheers, |

I buy my fountain pens from various sources but Bryant from
http://pentime.net/ is by far my favorite. His prices and service turned him into one of the know pen and very appreciated dealers on the Fountain Pen Network. Visconti is a good pen to go for in your price range, maybe the Wall Street LE |
