My wife loves her little Gucci watch. Being the watch aficionado I am, I change the battery any time it needs it at home so she doesnt have to go to the jewelers and look at jewelery and watches for 15 minutes while its being changed.

Especially something this expensive, I would definitely make sure she loves it before I make any purchase. Has she tried the midsize ss/pt Yachtmaster?? My girlfriend tried that on and she loves it. Initially, we were looking for a midsize SS roman white dial DJ but after trying the yachtmaster on, she was pretty much sold. Now shes just waiting to save up some more money before buying it hahaha....these things can get expensive.

Did you try to show her the Midsize DJs? Personally I think that the 31mm fits a female wrist much better than the 26mm unless your wife is very petite. And the cyclops on a 31mm appears much more harmonic than on the 26mm.

I'd give it to her anyways and tell her that if she doesn't absolutely love it, you will trade it for something else. Her knowing that bought it for her already will make her day.

But for your future anniversaries, it's nice to surprise someone with dinner, but suprising them with a $5k they don't like isn't something else ;)

I know the feeling!

My beautiful and intelligent wife Leah just can't seem to find the emotion that it takes to love a Rolex for herself! Although she loves seeing me wearing the 4 that I have.

I must admit, she does love diamonds though! She wears no less than 13 Karats a day to work.

Go figure!

+1 That may be a great idea. Unless she is like my wife, its just another watch to her

The 26MM is tiny, you can barely read the dial. The wife has a 31MM and is just perfect for her.
