Icon5 DSSD - M vs V serials and other questions...

I posted a related thread about this some time ago, but wanted to ask a different question...

As someone else pointed out, apparently M and V serials were produced concurrently. I am still not 100% on that, because all the "first run" DSSDs I've seen have all been M serial. With that being said, why does it seem that all of the FS ads, whether it be on here, TZ or WUS are almost always V serials? I rarely ever see M serial DSSDs for sale.

Also, my bracelet is stamped PJ4 on my M-serial DSSD. Does that give any indication when it may have been manufactured?

Thanks in advance folks.

My V series DSSD has LT5 on the bracelet, which would equal May 2009.

My V serial Deepsea has a PJ12 clasp (Dec. 2008) and was "new" from an AD in October 2009.
