Will a Rolex suede pouch fit a SDDS?

Hi

I'm thinking of purchasing one of these off ebay to store my watch in overnight and when travelling.

Can anybody tell me if my Deepsea will fit in in it?!

Many thanks

J

Should be fine. These pouches do have some space left over on the sides after squeezing in a 40 mm Rolex, so an extra 3 mm on the DSSD shouldn't make too much of a difference.

However, due to the 18 mm height, you could expect a tighter than normal squeeze.

hi, i bought a pouch with the squared insert, that fits the deepsea fine. The squared insert ones are slightly bigger then the oval ones i believe.
The leather pouches also fit, but you dont get an inset.

Very useful information, thanks all and especially BASSETHOUNDS for the pics, it does look like a tight fit but probably just about OK!

Where do these pouches come from, Rolex make no mention of them on their web site and I've never seen one at an AD etc, does anybody know?

You get them with RSC service or your friendly can give you one if he feels generous

If you service your Rolex you get one.

There are fakes too on the web, so watch out.

000.01.64 is stamped inside the originals.

Used to much more then now . It has become no longer fun to travel by air , airports have become hostile places . This one is actually grey ( not sure if it is easy to tell by the picture ) I have some others ( green ones ) in better condition .

I would check inside of the pouch to insure that the back of the "male" snap button comes covered with leather to prevent scratching the watch band or bezel. I had a friend who bought one on ebay that turned out to be "aftemarket" and he got a couple of pretty nasty scratches on his bracelet and bezel.

I thought I saw a red Rolex pouch in the background of a photo here on TRF. Has anyone seen one of those? Are those for larger models, e.g. a Daytona?

I received a green pouch from the RSC when I had my (ladies' size) Yachtmaster serviced. My husband's Submariner doesn't seem to fit in it.

IMHO, either way if you store a watch inside one of these pouches they will be scratched since the bracelet comes into contact with the back of the caseback. Or unless you wrap your watches around a sock then store it in one of these pouches.

The pouches come with a suede insert, which you place between the bracelet and case, protecting against scratches.
