Icon5 Is there a generic name for 3-link bracelets?

It seems to me that there should be a generic name for the 3-link configuration that Rolex uses on its Submariners and Sub Dates. I know you can find this style on TAGs, Omegas, et cetera.

Everyone I've asked so far says they're called "oysters."

Can this be right? I mean, would someone be expected to go into a Heuer AD and say, "Hmm, I can't decide if I want that diver watch on a jubilee or an oyster bracelet"?

Any guidance would be appreciated!
