pam312 big hornback strap

Ted Su big hornback in grayish blue.

Its a very nice strap. Well built and nicely proportioned taper from 24 to 22. Just wish the strap was a little thinner as I requested.

Looks good Saif - doesn't appear overly thick in your pics

Cheers

Good looking

and it does not look too thick at all. Since 312 watch is thick, too thin strap wouldn't look good
Seems like you love your car...

zlin, its not my car. its a rental cayenne till my car is done with servicing :)

but yeah I usually take pictures of my new straps in my car on the way home from work when I have a few minutes to kill at traffic signals & the sun is bright so mobile camera pictures turn out pretty good.

Nice color. Subtle but nice pop from the typical blacks and browns. That blue will look perfect on vacation with a nice tan on your arms and crisp white shirt and khaki shorts/pants.

As to the thickness, that watch (and Panerai in general) need a thick strap to make it look balanced. I think the thickness looks perfect. Enjoy.

Thanks Phil.
Well there are drawbacks to being adventorous. You remember my orange'y strap from the same vendor. Ill wear it and maybe even rub it down with some sort of oil to darken it.

But Ted's quality is superb. I love this grayish blue and waiting for the vintage green (imagine a pastel green) to come in stock again.

You definitely should commission Ted to make you a completely custom strap. have the thickness tapered . Have it thicker at the lugs and thins as it gets towards the buckle.

thanks idesign.

i specifically requested the strap maker to find the most obtrusive horns from his hornback leathers for this strap. Luckily for me and kind of him that it worked out.

That must have been one masculine alligator

Ted Su's hornbacks are surprisingly comfortable. You don't appreciate how amazing they are until you try them on!

Yes they are supple not stiff but unfortunately the bottom side that is layered with (calf?) kinda sticks to your wrist in room temperature. Other leather straps kinda glide over the wrist whereas this one sticks a little. Its not tight on me but that material he uses seems to stick.

Man Saif... you're collecting straps at an amazing rate. And all are beautiful!

How do you end up choosing which you go with in the morning?

Do you have a picture of all your straps?

Joey, because I dont have much time to swap out straps in the morning I will wear what I had on from the night before. I usually wear the same strap for a couple of weeks before swapping for another, with the guidance of my wife of course .
I do not have a group shot but I have been meaning to get one.

Ken, no matter how nice third party hornback straps are, the AP ROO hornback straps look the nicest and ooze quality. The way horn rises out of the strap and steeps at the top is something else.

Thanks Navitimer.
