Well, johnny....Yes and No. Yes, because I took a fairly small hit considering it's an Omega....and later on would have had to take a further hit. Yes, because I oh so badly wanted the Exp-II 'cause I love the bezel too much and the GMT-II function of the independenly movable hour hand.

No, 'cause I did like its heft, feel and finish. Not to mention its unerring accuracy and overall good looks. Sure, orange may not be everyone's cuppa, but that watch did look good on my big wrist.

NEVER appologize for posting pics of COOL watches! I'm not a major Daytona fan, but the black dial is definitely the better way to go!

Still don't understand that move. (Well, a little. If we had unlimited resources, we could hang on to every watch we bought).

Nice picture! Very nice indeed!

Nice picture Steve but as you know, not a fan of the modern Daytona.

Well, Frans, it was a good move as far as I was concerned. I really don't have unlimited resources (unless I seem to convey that silly impression!), and I've decided (on behest of my wife) to now onwards stick with Rollies only.

Seriously, the PO just came along and I liked it so I bought it. Henceforth, it's ROLEX ONLY.

Cheers - JJ
