Not sure if you are including white gold in your search or not but if I had the money I'd be torn between these two - If you can pull of Solid Yellow Gold then I'd say go for that beauty!

WG Sub = my grail watch!
but if it were between the YG Sub C / GMT IIC, i'd go for the GMTIIC.. as mentioned already, additional function of a 24hr hand... basically, depth rating aside, more functions than the sub.. though not as iconic as the sub, but iconic nonetheless! (if that makes any sense...)

The YG GMT is my choice, either in black or green( i dont like any green models of any Rolex)everything too green, but i do admit the green is quite nice with the YG. Strange that.

If new the GMT with green dial, if pre-loved than a 1980s 18k Sub.

I'd go for the black dial YG GMT IIC. I'm not a fan of green dials or green bezels.
