Running away from the weather!!!

My Submariner, my gorgeous wife and I couldn't stand the cold, snow and ice in central Illinois any longer. We hopped in the car and drove down to Pensacola Beach, Florida. It may not be too warm but it is sunny and the sound of the surf can cure a lot of ills. Here is the sub enjoying the balcony. Can anyone share my frustrations to the winter and their solutions? Pics are good, I'll submit more as the week progresses, Mike.

Lucky guy!! We are getting hit again tonight--other than running away to the warm sunny beach--have to tough it out! I have no time for a vacation right now--too bad! Enjoy!

Snow, cold and ice? Don't run, get your camera out!

(Not really, I'd rather be where you are right now...)

Just got back from a beach walk (it's 45 degrees so we still had coats on) but it sure beats the 5" of snow we're getting at home, Mike

Mike you are correct, I'm in Springfield and we had just about 5" last eve. It also seemed to stick more on the road so it was tough this Am. Have fun, I'll keep scooping.

Wish I were there! Just the smell of the ocean, and some fresh seafood would break the ice of mental Winter. I can't wait for a trip to Florida this Spring.

I love this place, this is where my first saltwater dive was and the dive boat captain had a submariner on. I was hooked from then on. unfortunately it took 25 years to afford one!!!!
