Rolex sighting in Aruba

Was walking on the beach and had to take a pic of my 1987 dj with updated dial and hands. Aruba is a beautiful place. Going to the Rolex AD tomorrow to see what they have.

Peter,
The Rolex AD in the mall near the Renaissance Marriott was giving 10 to 15% discounts and no sales tax without even asking.
Good luck,
dP

to add to Dan's post.... most ADs will void taxes if you let them ship the watch to your residence. of course after you plop big cash for a watch on vacation you want to wear it ASAP. so ask them if you can keep the watch and still avoid taxes by letting them ship the box and papers instead of the entire deal. might help you out some. just a thought.

Ed, I did that in Maui when the AD shipped my Hamilton in the box and I wore my new Monaco on vacation and then home. The AD said the box could be weighed or x-rayed when shipped.

What a great dial and a great picture as well! Wish I was in Aruba! Take pics at the AD if they'll let you!

You don't need to go through all the shipping nonsense.

Just buy the watch, wear it on vacation and in the airport on the way home, and pack the box.etc in your luggage and don't worry about it.

Just in Aruba the AD in the Hyatt wanted $7300 for a Deepsea without me negotiating although I don't think I could have gotten much more of a discount

Love the island. Perfect weather. Great hospitable people. We celebrated our honeymoon there.
