Production numbers. The TT Daytona is probably the forgotten model of the Rolex line up, which is a real shame considering how it looks - it's one of my favourite TT models. The SS Daytona might be difficult to buy, but that doesn't mean it's a rare watch - there are tens of thousands of them already out there, and in my experience, an AD (depending on supply, of course) can sell 3 to 4 times more SS Daytonas than TT ones. Furthermore, it's an incredibly rare event to see a TT Daytona on someone else's wrist, whilst the SS Daytona is relatively easy to spot. The SS Daytona is way overhyped, in my opinion, I think the TT Daytona is a real hidden gem.

SS was my personal choice for jeans, but, the dial options on TT are more numerous. Then again I have a WG meteorite for other occasions. I also think the TT is very attractive, it becomes strikingly unique depending on which of the many dial configurations that are now available that you can choose from. Whatever your personal choice and preference, make your self happy and wear it in good health!

I'm not crazy about the Daytona in TT so I'd say go for SS. It is such a striking watch!!!...but it's up to you! Go with your heart!

If your AD has a supply of SS Daytonas just sitting around then I'd be concerned in a number of ways.....

Either that or you are such a good customer that you get every one that comes in?

Actually everyone is going for the SS Daytona. Frankly with dark blue jeans the TT or pure YG looks supercool.

I find SS models better with suit.

Even better is a YG vintage.

Dare to be different
