The McNaught Comet
Hey guys.... any of you camera geeks online now?
I'm about to head off in 30mins to attempt to photograph the mcnaught comet over Melbourne. With me I am taking a tripod, wireless remote to fire off the shutter without knocking my canon 350d and I am just using the 18-55mm kit lens. So any suggestions on types of settings I should be using? Any pointers? I'll post up whatever I get later on... To see some shots from other photographers see the link below. This is the brightest comet to hit the skies in some 30-40 years.. pretty cool hey! http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=21764969 http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=21746315 |

Try to get as far away from the city and lights as possible. Then you will not pick up any other light other than the moon and the comet.
