Help deciding on a watch for the Lady Friend

I took my gf to an AD with me the other day and now she really wants a Rolex for herself
It needs to be small, water proof to some extent, and able to stand up to quite a bit of abuse.

Well my friend... All Rolexes are waterproof hence the name "Oyster" the case is completely waterproof to some 30 meters I think... and all ROlexes can take beatings! Maybe the woman's Yachtmaster or a Datejust...

x3. I really like the plat Yacht for a ladies watch and would like my wife to have one, she just doesn't care for that model. She likes the yellow metal.

My wife has a TT Oyster with Rhodium dial--it is very nice. Of course she wears her WG DD w/ Rhodium diamond dial the most though!! Highly recommend the Oyster--it was her first Rolex.

Which watch did she gravitate to when you were at the AD?

My wife has a mid-size SS DJ on oyster. Very simple and classic, and she wears it everywhere, from going out to dinner to work to running and swimming. White Roman dial is classic and beautiful. It really is a great watch for her, and she just loves it.

okay, a more realistic question - what is her/your budget for a new rolex?

SS or TT or full precious metal?
