new baby. hey KYLE! EARLY 1016

i currently came into possession of a 1016 explorer! original gilt dial in AMAZING condition. calibre 1560 non-hack movement. serial is a 5XX,XXX, and the caseback is stamped 1016 IV.60. so fourth quarter of 1960 she's running strong and the movement is in GREAT SHAPE. the case is very nice with excellent lugs. it is currently on a USA ROLEX jubilee folded oval bracelet marked 12-70. with 50 end links. here are a few iphone quick shots before i had to leave the house for the shop. any opinions on value would be greatly appreciated, and i will post macros as soon as I can for a better look.

Nice. That would look outstanding on a strap, military style.

Where do you find these Vintage Tudors and Rolexes?

I think Kyle will be happy to see more pictures.

it is luck of the draw. This was on the wrist of my girlfriends parents friend...her mother noticed it and said..my daughter's boyfriend collects watches..he handed it over and said.."here ya go..take it...let him take a look at it and if he will enjoy it, tell em to make me an offer..." he accepted my offer, and now its officially mine and Im over the MOOOOOOON!

Justin, that looks so great! I love the 1016, one of my favorites as well. Looks great on the jubilee! Maybe in the future I'll get one, but I think my next watch would be a GMT Master Pepsi, I'm about 1/3 the way there. Congrats Justin, please don't go about flipping this one...
