Must have list
OK, I'm curious........
Does anyone have a "must have before I die" or "watch bucket list" Rolex and others? I know the list will probably change over time especially after Basel but at this time what are your must haves? In no particular order, mine are; 14060M SUB Tudor Hydro 1200 IWC 3548 in silver or yellow Omega Speedmaster Pro manual wind w/hesalite crystal.

Since I just got 1/2 of my grail list today (TT Zenith Daytona) the only other watch I TRULY fiend for is a DRSD but I don't see that happening for me for a little while.

Is it ever going to happen? Aren't they having a tough time getting George-Michael on board?

I would pay...I would pay...yes I would pay... if I could only get one
of these special 16600 Sea-Dwellers created for the scuba divers of the Italian state police. Below Guido Mondani describes such Sea-Dweller This model has been realized in only 78 examples to celebrate the golden jubilee of the State Police Scuba Divers Institution. Among these 78 pieces, 28 have the engraving of the Military Brevet number on the case back. This is the document which gives scuba divers the qualification for practising their profession, and only 3 of them have a personalized signature. The dial is characterized by the logo representing an octopus and on the external case back, together with the circular engraving, the writing “POLIZIA DI STATO, SOMMOZZATORI 1958-2008” also appears. The production of only 78 pieces, makes it one of the most desirable and rare versions for collectors throughout the world; for this reason the Sea-Dweller ref. 16600 personalized State Police has been converted into the “depths professional” par excellence. Our advice is not to hesitate if you have the possibility of purchasing this watch because it's certain to become an important and precious collection piece, even if, given the prestige and importance which characterize it, such occasions to come into possession of this “jewel” will be few and far between. |

I recall WatchTime magazine once running a feature on the important, possibly iconic watches that any respectable collector should have in their collection.
In the list were the S/S Rolex Sub-date, the Breitling Navitimer and an Omega Speedmaster Professional. Sorry, but I can't remember the rest. PS. I'd agree with the Sub-date and the Speedy but not with the Breitling - its dial is just too busy for me. In its place I'd include the Lange Datograph. |

My watch bucket list would include:
Milgauss GV Platinum YM SS Daytona After that it would be time to go vintage: 1655 1665 1680 5513 1675 I would also want to own a PP before I meet my maker.
