As far as I remember the Sailor had a broad nib, the MB had a medium and the Nakaya had a double broad.

And in the spirit of "fairness" the works pens.

That trio really shines. I really like the broad line put down by the Nakaya. It looks silky smooth. At times I wish my writing style would accommodate the broad nibs.

Good comparison with the biros, too. Shows the significant difference a FP can make.

Dave, you have really lovely writing and your examples really give a good idea of what different nib types look like. I especially like the comparison with Biro as it really shows how souless Biro is compared to fountain pen.

Thanks Dave. You've got very good handwriting!

From the looks of the samples, the Sailor seems to have a little flex while the Nakaya has better ink variations? How do they write? all smooth?

Dave, Thanks for the comparison between the different nibs and manufacturers. Looks like I might have to get a FP with a broad stroke to see what it feels like for myself!!!
