Nice pictures Steve myself not a problem wear the crown is. Great
pictures, but could be improved, if your subjects are free from dust
and smears.

How long did it take you to realise that the crown on your SD was actually not fully screwed in (as is evident from the first pic)?

Hmmmm....and July & August having 31 days, you saw no need to fiddle with the crown....I can understand that; but somehow I feel the dealer who sold you the watch should have adjusted it for you before handing it over. It was his job to have ensured that the crown was fully screwed down!!

I might tell him about it if I were you.

Cheers - JJ

when i picked it up the time and date were set, so i just straped up so to speak, never noticed anything amiss, then again were only talking a 1/4 turn, with new seals and that hopefully had i gone diving it would still have held up!!!! dont know if you've found this but when i unscrewed the crown it wouldn't come off the threads had to tug it im assuming it was the new rubber seals it defineatly wasn't on the threads but didn't pop off against the spring into the winding position if you know what i mean, position 1 and 2 were also real stiff with a definate click into each position needed just newness i guess?????

No worries, the 1/4 turn wouldn't make any difference to its waterproofness.

On the other bit, once you unscrew the crown, it should pop out ever so lightly. At this point the crown is in 'wind' mode. So just give it a couple of forward turns and then try and pull it out once more to the next notch. It must work irrespective of its newness....otherwise just let the AD have a look at it. If it's too stiff, please DON'T apply too much strength and try and force the issue....it must happen quite naturally!

Keep me posted.

Cheers - JJ

Oh, does this mean I must not use a hammer to knock the crown back in?

Take care,

Frans.

Steve, that scares me a little that you did not know that, I would recommend avoiding JJ for a spell, he is contagious you know. I think you may have caught a bit of it.

Nice pics mate, very nice!! Keep 'em coming.
