Help on my first Panerai
I want to buy my first Panerai. I have been looking for a long time now. I´m choosing between the 233 and the 005.
The problem is that I also want the 5513 MAXI sub sometime in the future. Do I get the 005 and the Maxi or do I go for the 233, I believe the price is about the same. I´m pretty sure I can´t get them all in this life... Regards. //Fred |

233, then you'll have GMT function, date, small seconds, manual wind, display back...
Then if you get the Sub, it will nicely compliment the 233 - no date, centre seconds, diving bezel, auto, etc... Cheers ![]()

Definitely the 233. Doesn't get much better than that.

Get what you like most first b/c you dont want to turn around in a year from now and sell the 5 at a loss to buy a 233. also, i think the case is different on a 5 and 233-sandwich vs non. (not 100% sure). how often will you use the gmt function on the 233???? if much then it may be a better choice. finally, go to a store and try everything on b/c nothings the same until its in your hand. good luck!!!

233 and be done--I like that Joey! 233 would be one great intro to Panerai!
