Quick question on laser etched coronet
Hello All,
Is it safe to say that a K724xxx production GMT can go either way in regards to having or not having the laser etched coronet? K series Rolexes were produced in the 2001 yr range and I understand that the crystal etching was also introduced in that time period. For those that own a K serial Rolex: Is your crystal original and etched? TIA ![]() |

Regarding Laser Etched Coronet
I read the post that the Laser Etched Coronet began sometime with K... can someone tell me which models and if it is still used? Also, with more recent releases, I noticed the marking on the side of the case. What are these called, when did they begin, and which models are they used on? Has one marking replaced the other or do they now have both. Sorry for the many questions, however, I can't seem to find a brief on this. Thanks.

The etched coronet is used on all Rolex Crystals except the Milgauss GV..
The marking on the side is a bar-code sticker.......... it peels off.. Quote:

Thanks for taking the time to provide the explanation. I have both an M series SS Sub and a V series TT Sub and I can't seem to see either. Is it very difficult to find?

yup, shine a flashlight at the 12 o'clock position pointing to the 6 o'clock position where you should see the crown. Hard to see, I thought my Z series sub didn't have it for a while, but it was there.

Thanks again..... I just tried it....a flash light from 12 o'clock directed to the 6 o'clock position did it...............
So in a recap....it started sometime in 2001 with some of the K's and the Milgauss GV is the only model that doesn't have it. TRF guys...thanks. |
