Hamilton & Illinois did make several fine RR watches. The Hammy 992B, the Illinois Bunn Special, etc, etc...I just love pocket watches. I wish they'd come back into style.

Your watch-pocket, you mean. That's what it is, after all.

Shangas, I believe I've heard both interpretations for that pocket on blue jeans.....

The pocket was introduced by Levi Strauss to serve as a watch-pocket. It's mentioned on their website, I believe.

I always wondered what that little pocket was for. I have always found it too small and akward for change. A pocket watch on a chain though makes absolute sense!

My wardrobe has changed slightly since I last posted in this thread. I bought a neat, black wool waistcoat today (my first one in ten years). So, for your amusement...

I apologise for the poor photo; my brother's mirror is absolutely filthy and I didn't realise that when I took the shot.

Not sure why but when I think of you now I think of you being similar to the Excellent Jermey Brett interpritation of Sherlock Holmes.
I think you'll find now, that I don't look anything like Jeremy Brett!!

That just shows you how I wear my watch and chain + my vest-pocket fountain pen. Admittedly, I attached the chain to my waistcoat a little lower than I should have. A better way would be to wear it with a Double Albert, but I'm yet to get a DA chain.

Shahan, you're looking good and styling in that vest with your pocket watch and chain(including your pen)!!!
