My new Omas Arco Dama

I have wanted one of these for ages. Hard to find un-inked and from 1997!

Can't wait to get my hands on it! Review forthcoming just as soon as I get my grubby, ink stained, fingers on it!

In all my years of collecting I can say that I have NEVER seen a more beautiful cut of celluloid.

Oak should look this good!

Congratulations, Richard. That is a real eye catcher! I love the style, but more so, the color of the celluloid. That is quite unique!

It came today! I have flushed it and filled it with my favorite ink. As it had never been filled I prefer to let the pen sit for several hours or even a day full of ink to prime the innards and get any dryness out of the plumbing.

Review will come soon!

And yes it is gorgeous! It is the Dama version which is smaller than the Millord so it is so light (celluloid) that it feels like I am writing with air. Posted it is the perfect length.

I can't wait for the review Richard!
I am away on a short break at the moment, I hope when i get back my Montegrappa will be awaiting me! A double Italian review on the forum, we might start a rush for Italian pens once folks get a close up of the beauties of Itallian celluliod

Richard - what is your preferred ink, if you don't mind?

Out of the bottle it would be Delta blue.

For every day, it is something I blend.

Thank you again Richard.

Have you ever posted pictures of your complete FP collection in a prior thread? It sounds quite wonderful. I would love to see it.

Cheers,
MK

I must have missed this the first time around, Richard. Your pen is beautiful! The color scheme looks very familiar! I've been looking closely at mine, and in some ways it looks like a really nice cut of wood.

I have to ask, where do you find all these uninked older pens? I wouldn't have a clue as where to start.

Is it heavy? Or light? What nib does it have? Is it a piston-filler? C/C? It's gorgeous!!
