White gold around hour markers

I read a review by a forum member on his Sub LV, and he mentioned that the lining around the hour markers is made of white gold. Is this true for the 16610 Submariner, GMT, Explorer I and II?

Yes. The move to WG surrounds on sports models generally happened in the 83-85 timeframe.
