GMT not staying wound

I know that there should be a 48 hour reserve for rolexes not to be wound, but I have noticed that if I leave mine at night, the next morning, it has stopped. Less than 12 hours. I have tried everything from winding it before i go to bed, but still nothing is working. Is this common or has anyone else heard of this problem. Any info would be great.

BTW, I have the GMTC z serial, so it should be time for a tune up should it?

Thanks

Kyle

Ok, just this morning, I noticed it even stopped while I was wearing it. Now I'm really getting worried. If I send it in for service, how much would it coast to get this corrected?

If you've wound it 40 turns and it doesn't last a couple of days then it must have a problem. I don't think anyone can estimate service without knowing what's wrong but a routine service from Rolex service is over $550 and my local watchmaker charged $250 for a routine service.

Have you fully wound your watch around 40 full crown turns clockwise.?.And as your watch is from 2006/7 would doubt if it needs a service yet.On a full manual wind power reserve off wrist should be around 40 to 48 hours check that first. If that checks out re-wind watch fully again and wear as normal if watch stops say overnight while off wrist you have a problem that needs to be checked out.
