At the end of this month(April29th through May2nd)there will be a pen show in the Chicago area. I plan on going and I'm starting to get excited. I do not know what to expect but I am familiar with other types of shows(Coin and Knife shows) so it should be a lot of fun!!!

Although it is too far for me, Im wondering if I can see the start of a TRF mini get together at the show, would love to see some photos if you get the chance Leo and Richard.

Yeah come on folks in the area, have a GTG at the show, take lot's of pictures, buy lot's of pens then post it all on here. I for one would love to see that

And I am going to set a challenge (a totally fun one) to each person that attends to see who buy's the oldest pen

I am dying for some of the folks here to get into vintage. I can see your passion being ignited by pens and I just think you would all absolutley love Vintage pens!

Enjoy it folks, it is meant to be one of the best pen shows around!

Thanks Lion. BTW, are you familiar with a jewelry/watch show held at Rosemont? A former colleague told me he had attended such a show at Rosemont a few years ago, but I'm having trouble finding anything.

I think I know what you are talking about but do not remember the name of the show so I would be of no help to you. If you can get the name of the show for me I will do my best to track it down!!!

Update: I googled for a Watch and Jewelry show in Chicago and came up with, International Watch and Jewelry Show in Rosemont on June 28 and June 29 at the Crown Plaza. Their web site is www.biztradeshows.com/trade.....Hopefully this helps you out!!!

I guess no one lives close enough to go to the Chicago Pen Show which started on Thursday April 29th. But if you are in town and want to meet let me know. The show ends on Sunday May 2nd.....

John, I do understand because after listening to Ian talk about the pen club he belongs to I wish there was one here in the Chicago Metro area. But this will be my first pen show so my expectations are high!!!
