If it makes you happy that's the point right? Most people in the world are happy with a "regular" watch and don't get why we spend the money we do on them. to all of us it's about more than just a watch, so go for it, if it makes you happy!

FWIW, the entire watch costs a fraction of what Project X charges just to remove the crown guards from a Sub!!!

What's great about life is possibilities and choices so what one likes another may not like. So that's why if you own an item you can do what you want with it!!!
Whatever floats your boat!!!

How come it can charge US$700...

If spend US$700 I will spend a bit more to buy a real flying tourbillon, which is in turn really need precise handcraft for the movement...

I am not sure I understand your message. MkII is a relatively new watch company, run by young watchmaker Bill Yao.

He makes homage watches, and has no affiliation with Rolex. My earlier post said that the watch in the picture I posted is cheaper than the modification (to a Rolex) by Project X Designs (the topic of this thread).

Bill's watches are a great value. Well-designed, well-built, and are products with integrity. They also feature legitimately-sourced ETA movements.

I presume you are referring to your Seagull tourbillon. I hear that the Seagull movements are getting quite good. I will be interested so see what the Internet builders cook up around that tourbillon movement.

I like it, but only the non-PVD, and it should be done on the 14060, and in a slightly smaller size. I'd buy one of those!

It looks like Project X took down the pages for the bespoke options, but they start with the MSRP of the Rolex, and then they add the cost of their modifications on top of that.
