The Hudsucker Proxy Elgin

I've always wanted to know if this watch ever existed or it was a prop.

About 1.40 in is a good shot of Waring Hudsucker's Elgin pocket watch. The case is a standard Elgin style case. The movement of the second hand seems to not be indicative of a quartz movement.

The double sunk dial in combination with the sweep second hand is quite rare, Elgin leaned more towards sub dials. The hands and face I've never seen either.

I suspect someone's hacked up a face to suit the theme of the film as it matches the clock on the building. Any ideas?
