1998 SS Daytona (Holy Grail)

Hey All,

In 1998 I got a Brand new Rolex SS Daytona white dial after waiting 18 months on a list with an AD in Miami. Retail price was $5,100. They FedEx me the Daytona and I didn't take it out of the box for a few days, I just loved looking at it!! Anyway, After I put on the Daytona, I got offers all the time, but I wouldn't take any offers, it was priceless to me. I was working on wall street in NYC at the time, so I living the life, no money problems. Those days are long gone!!
I remember going to AD's at the time (Tourneau, etc) looking at other watches, and the people shopping there would drool at my daytona.
I remember AD's in manhattan were charging around 15K for white face daytonas in 1999 or 2000, and I thought that was nuts, but people were gladly paying for it!!! Anyway, I ended up selling my daytona cause I got tired of it. I have flipped like 10 rolexes so far over the years, but I'm still pissed that I sold my daytona!!
So, If you ever get a hold of a SS Daytona, take my advice and keep it!!!!!
My Next Purchase is a DeepSea, and I will never sell it!!!!!!!!!!! ( think I heard that before)
Take Care all

Ouch that hurts!
Any way to re-live the magic with another Daytona purchase? You're not too far off from a DSSD to a Daytona.

EXACTLY the reason I'm keeping mine, I know I'd regret it if I sold it. I've decided to save up for that GMT II I'm crazy about... instead of going the easy way and selling the Daytona.

AND IT'S NOT DIFFICULT TO HOLD OFF!!!!! REALLY IT ISN'T!!!!
