Anyone else go to the Joon Pen expo?

Since TRF has been down I didn't get a chance to post up. I went 2 Saturdays ago. Since I'm a relative newbie in the world of decent pens I was pretty impressed. There were reps from several manufacturers, many of which I never heard of. It was cool. So i went in there with a veritable shopping list and hoped to walk out with a pen or two. I was a little upset that the Lamy Dialogue 3 is on back order. So i was wandering the store, and ended up speaking to a Taccia rep, again never heard of them, don't know much about them. But I ended up picking up a FP called a Strata, in white and blue resin with a Medium steel/iridium nib. It's pretty nifty and writes very nicely. To top it off, it came with a nice leather pen case.

So I ended up walking out of there with the Taccia, a Lamy Safari (actually on the list of to-buy's) shiny black in Extra Fine and a bottle of Aurora Blue ink, which is kinda purple-ish.

I have to say for general work purposes I think the Safari is my favorite, clocking in at a whopping $22.00.

I should have bought some noodlers ink, but I forgot..luckily Amazon.com is selling it cheap, and even one of them comes with a free pen....so that's coming in the mail.

Between the watches and pens, this place is dangerous.
