The DSSD looks a little out of proportion to me.
GMT looks great.

The GMTII is just a beautiful classic watch...the DSSD...a bit too pronounced for my tastes.

to be fair, close up wrist shots tend to distort perspective. need pics from farther away to give a proper appraisal.

GMT looks good, but the Deep Sea is disproportionately huge on your wrist and looks silly.

Sorry, don't know the size of your wrist but that DSSD looks gigantic. GMT is much more balanced. The accurate compromise would be the GMT IIC with the maxi dial/hands and case.

those pictures are no good for a size comparision. Shave your arm about halfway up so we can get a more accurate view.

I really get the indecision here - both are great watches. I have neither, so I consider myself completely unbiased. I also like the DSSD - I think the lack of symmetry makes it an interesting piece. But I've got to say that the Pepsi gets my vote - its history and the way it looks with jeans overcomes my fascination with the Deep Sea.
Whichever way you go, you've already shown you have superb taste.

Actually, they both look good; but it's the 18 mm height of the DSSD that has always turned me off.
Other than that, it's an amazingly superb watch - the best in Rolex engineering. JJ

I think the DSSD looks to be a more proportional fit on your wrist - I did own a GMT II at one stage (after several years of looking for a suitable example) and it was by far my most disappointing Rolex experience - I flipped it after a couple of months as I just couldn't get a comfortable fit and for some reason it seemed to me to look small on my 6.75 inch wrist...............perhaps that was because I also owned an SD at the time

Without a doubt the GMTII
Sorry to say, but the DSSD just looks too big on your wrist. That is why I never bought one.
