Let's see....I work in Wisconsin, yeah that's it, I work in Milwaukee, and my shift ends when the heavily armed security guards come to escort us to our vehicles in an underground fortified garage....at different times each day.

1. Look! Pictures of my watch! Last week, I posted pictures I took of my Submariner while I was driving my car. Today we had a barbecue, and my daughter walked for the first time. Here are some pictures. Of my Submariner, at the barbecue. You can sort of see part of the baby, out of focus, taking her first steps in the background. The Sub looks amazing in this light.
2. I don't like the new something or other... Ceramic bezel. Overcomplicated clasp. Maxi dial. Supercase. Watches only had integrity when they had lug-holes. Why the hell do you need a clock on your wrist anyway? Pocket watches were good enough in my day. And don't get me started on the leopard Daytona. 3. Look how I ruined my watch with some aftermarket frankenmodification! I covered it in black plastic! I put my sub on a jubilee bracelet! I got a meteorite dial for my GMT 2! Diamond bezel, y'all! Look how much better it looks with the center links brushed! Nato strap, yo! Check out these wrist-shots of me rockin' this puppy! 4. What watch are you wearing today? Spoiler alert: I am wearing a Rolex! Here are some wrist-shots. 5. I think I broke it. Yeah, so I drove my motorcycle off a cliff and landed on a speedboat. Huge fireball. As you can see, the bracelet links are fused together, and the sapphire crystal is all cracked. I haven't been able to look at the movement yet, because the case-back is sort of melted into the case, and also, I just got out of the coma. I've got burns over sixty percent of my body and I lost a foot. Do you think the warranty will cover this? Anyway, here are some wrist-shots. Please don't make fun of the blistering. 6. I sold my old watch and got a new one. Well, as some of you know, my wife left me after the bank took the house, so I've been feeling down in the dumps. And if you know me well enough, you know the best way to get me out of the dumps is a trip to the AD! So, I'd been saving the one card that wasn't maxxed for an emergency, but there was a Daytona in the case, and there's, like, never a Daytona in the case. And that thing was smiling at me. My salesman gave me $2500 for the GMT I bought new from him a couple of months ago, which was real nice of him. I think he gave me the family rate on that, since he's dating my ex. He couldn't knock anything off the Daytona, though. He said they don't discount those. But who cares. Daytona! Here are some wrist-shots. 7. You guys are stupid, and Panerais are way awesomer. Neener, neener neener. Here are some wrist-shots of my Panerai. |
