Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight 44 mm Titanium Blue Dial (ref. PAM00326)

Hey Fellows,

Was doing some research on the Breitling Superocean Heritage Chrono LE and found that it uses the movement as Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight 44 mm Titanium Blue Dial (ref. PAM00326).

Can any Panerai experts chip in their views on the movement?

It has an ETA 7753 (previously known as a Valjoux 7753), which essentially the same Valjoux 7750 but with a pair of extra jewels and a different layout for its three chronograph sub-dials. While the 7750 has its sub-dials located at “12,” “6″ and “9″ o’clock, the 7753 features the “3-6-9″ configuration. For some unknown reason, the caliber 7753 is also more expensive than its older sibling the 7750.

As far as chrono movements go the 7750 is highly regarded and Tudor even use that (or have used that in a modified form) in some of their chronograph movements.

I don't think you would have any regrets with the 7753.

The 7750 has also been used as a base calibre in some very respectable chronographs and as I said it has a very very good reputation.

Regards

The 7750 based family of chronograph movements has got to be the most bullet proof automatic chrono ever made.
It might not be fancy, but it sure does work and it can take a beating, and like Steve said, numerous high end brands use it as a starting point.
IWC is another perfect example.

To me, it's like a Chevy 350 engine. Been around forever, not very fancy, but it lasts an eternity, there are parts everywhere and you can make it into about anything you want it to be.
