Even though the only model referenced in this how-to is the 14060 (nice job, by the way!), this single reader has made the leap that the GMT-Master / GMT-Master II ranges also require alteration / modification for the solid end-link bracelets to fit.

Could someone with appropriate credentials please clarify that this how-to thread is only meant for the model in question, the Sub 14060, and that hollow end-link and solid end-link Oyster bracelets are interchangeable on the GMT-Master ranges . . .
I think that you mean the 78790A, which is the SEL bracelet for the GMT since the late 1990's. All 16710's/16700's will accept the 78790A without modification as long as the case has the machined ledge on the back between the lugs.. Earlier GMT's do not have the ledge that indexes the SEL to the caseback.

This article is pretty clear....... It is only for the 14060........

Yes, it's the Rolex Oyster bracelet 78790A, and the watch has a T serial number.

The fellow references the 14060 thread as a basis to question the fitment of the SEL bracelet to my watch, and it appears he can't distinguish between the 14060 subject watch, and a 16710.

He takes the thread as gospel without considering the differences between the two watches . . .
