Spotted a knock-off TT Sub...
At an after school get together today I spotted a co-worker wearing a TT Sub Date. Because I wasn't wearing my glasses I made a comment to him about his watch. All I saw was the TT with the Blue dial and bezel and thought of JJ right away.
Something didn't look "Kosher" to me. He said "it's a knock-off" much to my surprise as I was wearing my White Exp.II. He is the IT guy for our school and a few elementarys schools also. He makes decent money so I ask him as nicely as possible why a knock-off? He said "no one" until now ever asked him about his watch and everyone assumed it was a real TT Sub date Rolex. As the evening went on and lots of drinks had by all (LIT for me) he came over to me later and said "you know your right" as hard as I work and at different locations I've never been happy knowing it's not a real Rolex. I don't know what he'll do but I think he's finally done wearing a knock-off when he could easily be wearing the real thing. Maybe I made a difference and he too will join the Rolex family. Just sayin...

You guys must have eagle eyes. I must admit that I typically notice when people are wearing Rolexes, real or not, but hardly ever look close enough to see if they are real or not. That being said sometimes you can tell by the person, if you catch my drift, as to whether the watch is real or not.

JJ,
for what ever reason whenever I see a TT Sub I think it might be "you" standing in front of me. However, those wearing the TT Sub have no resemblence to "Kojak"

Bottom line - if they say its real - it is. If they say "Oh, this old knock-off" - so be it!

Spencer,
I do catch your drift and what really surprised me after him telling me it was a "knock off" is that he drives a new BMW.

I usually don't comment on other people's watch, not until they bring it up first or we are talking about watches in general first. I just don't want people thing get the wrong impression as many of them are buying them as a status symbol, and if I say anything people might think that I am just a materialistic prick.

Prince,
he's a hard worker (young guy) and often comes into my Tech. Ed./Wood shop to fix or modify a work station that was broken by a student. He says he can fix it but I end up doing it so that the table/station doesn't come back again! He's seen my new YM and asked lots of questions about it. I never thought twice about his TT Sub as I never took a "good" look at it as I assumed it was real. I think next time he comes into my shop he'll show me his new "Rolex". He's on a mission now, I do believe...

I have nothing but disrespect for a fake wearer .... Very bad character sign.I hope he chucks that in the dustbin and gets the real thing.Cleansing of the soul.

That's kind of a good point actually... What motivates a person to sport a fake Rolex. Running down my imagined mental checklist, I'm not coming up with much good stuff.
