Nakaya .85 Italic Review (Ignore the first post on a 1.1..sorry!) Lots of Photos!!!

Guys,

Here is the review on my new Nakaya .85 Italic Burl Wood FP. My first post was on a 1.1 but I was wrong. Must learn to read the flippin' BOX!!!!

Sorry for my error in the first post. The 1.1 is coming soon and will be a Burl Wood in the gloss. All future posts here please.

Thanks,

Richard

Thanks Richard. Very nice review indeed!
What ink and paper did you use? Is it a Clairefontaine pad? Lovely shading I can see!

The pad is a Rhodia and the ink is Waterman blue black.

Thanks Fred! I can highly recommend it after having it about a week.

Definitely my favorite nib of all I own.

Thanks for the great review Richard.
Personally if found the double broad a bit scratchy and narrow for my liking but the result from yours looks impressive and stylish.
A few weeks ago I got an opportunity at a GTG to try a Music nib (Eddie's Pen) and thought it was magnificent.
I wonder if John Mottishaw would change it over for me as I've only dipped the DB in ink without filling it. But I did get it rhodium plated.
The packaging, presentation and attention to detail of the Nakaya's is really excellent.

P.S. That grey ink you are using looks pretty cool, it looks like a grey but you said it was blue/black
