Hi from Long Beach, California

I am brand new to this forum. I have a Rolex ovettone (big bubbleback) model#6075 in 18kyg. The problem is I don't wear this much anymore. I am wondering what the long term investment potential is. My watch is in mint condition with original dial and original 18kyg buckle. Anybody out there know what the future holds for this watch?

Well about 7-10 years back it was quite easy to find/buy these now quite rare big bubblebacks.Like you say also called Ovettone but now they have nearly disappeared from the market.Last one I seen for sale was around $5000 but have seen then for more. The A295 movement is quite reliable, but parts getting now quite scarce. As for long term well who knows how the market will go, but doubt it it will be down.

Thanks for the warm reception

I'm getting used to wearing bigger watches (39mm-45mm) The big bubbleback looks small on my wrist.

AP, I spent many hours in a Huey back in my Army days. (79-83) I have the utmost respect for all you Army Aviators. I remember the first time I saw a Blackhawk. A demo team flew one for all of us to see at Camp Casey, Korea 2nd ID in 82. Man, how revolutionary we thought it was! Never got to ride in one though.

KansaiVet, Yes I agree it is an outstanding A/C. Been flying Hawks since May 04 and deployed to Iraq in Dec 04. Logged 450+ combat hours. The utility scene took a little getting used to, I had flown Cobra's and Apache's for the 14 years prior to that!
