TT Sub, TT Datejust, Car etc

Good Morning all lovers of fine watches.
I got my Sub back from the Rolex people in London.
It was running +8 seconds a day
Got it back and it runs less than +1 second a day!

Now that both watches have been reunited I thought
I would post pics of them.

Just to complete the ensemble I have posted a pic of
my new wheels too. Like the number plate?

Regards
Robby

Watches and car look great!

I see you're in the UK. Aren't the congestion taxes on your car murder?

I also hear some morons are trying to start a personal carbon-tax consumption card. The way I hear it works is they give everyone a card and alott a certain number of annual carbon credits into the card. Then everytime you fill up on gas, you get credits taken off the card. If you go over your limit, then you have to buy carbon credits on the open market.

That's total B.S. I feel for you UK guys.

I drive a V8 5.0 Ford Mustang. I'd go ballistic if something like this were done in Canada.

How/why do you tolerate it?

Thanks Kris

Got to be honest I haven't heard of a "carbon credits" cards or any intention of issuing them. What I do know is that tomorrow is budget day here and our government is likely to double car tax for what they regard as "gas guzzlers".

I already pay £190 a year for car tax.
That is likely to go up to £400 a year!

It's ironic that government ministers in this country have 4.2 and 6.0 Litre Jaguar cars as standard issue. The majority of their travel is in London which carries traffic at 10 miles an hour!

Everybody seems to be getting on the global warming bandwagon and yet many eminent scientists have already stated that there is no proof of global warming or climate change due to CO2 emmisions. The rest od them don't say anything because they will lose subsidies.

One thing I do know is that the global warming industry is worth billions of pounds in this country and generates a lot of tax for our greedy, inneficient government.

Sorry about the politics folks but it makes you wanna spit!!!

Great watches! That DJ is the one I would pick. White Roman and the jubilee bracelet are quintessential Rolex IMHO. You did'nt buy it in the jewelery dept at Grace Bros. by any chance?

Hi Blue Bull

Now that you mention it...I did try the Mercedes S320. Gotta say it wasn't bad but it really didn't handle like the beemer. You know what the the motoring journalists critisised the 745i for? They thought the Idrive was "too comlplicated"!! Are these guys half wits or something? Anyone that can operate a PC can work an Idrive! Idiots!
Anyway, bearing in mind that this is a Rolex forum...I'd better quit withe the BMW talk.
Regards
Robby

Nice car and watches, we seem to have the same taste in cars and watches. I heard that personalized plates like yours cost a fortune in England. Is that right?

Thanks guys,
First reply to Shola...yep you are right. Private number plates are quite expensive here in the UK but I got these with the car. I have another set of plates that I will be transferring on to it. V8 DSO will be the new one. V8 for the engine and DSO for the small company I run...cool huh?

mlb....M5?....nice car to lose your licence with!

Chris B..thanks mate

JJ...Stuck in first gear...prezzie? didn't understand any of that!

JJ...Thanks for the watch compliment. I got married on 25th November last year (for the third time) and my new wife would be pretty upset if I posted pics of my girlfriends on here! Although I guarantee you would like my wife...all my mates seem to!

Gotta say....it's fun talking to you lot

President...Thanks

Last but not least...thanks President for the web links.

I notice that you are in Le cocle.

You do live in a beautiful country which I have vistited on at least 30 occasions. I have relatives in Sierre (VS).

Vive la Suisse!
