SeaDweller is over at RSC for the next 5 days
My precious SD will be staying over at the Toronto RSC for a few days. When I bought the SD from fellow TRFer Loaded, I already knew that there was some inscription on the case back. However the SD was a good deal so I jumped on it.
Now that the weather is better to head downtown, I decided to drop it off to the RSC to find out if they can buff the inscription. I waited for 20 minutes and yes they can for $45 CDN. Not too bad compared to buying a new caseback for $200. Well at least my PO is coming today so it will keep me busy for a few days.

The inscription must not bee too deep. I can't imagine them buffing something like this out. This much buffing won't effect the integrity of the caseback?

Maybe its just me, between 45 and 200, I'd rather pay 200 for a new case back.

Yeah, very shallow, hard to feel it even with the finger nails. If it compromise the integrity, RSC would have recommended already.
MonteCristo: I was expecting for RSC to recommend a new caseback, but since they said they can buff it out, why not.

I am sure their work will make your caseback look good as new.

4 business days is pretty good turnaround seeing as you had all that work done to it.
Someone else posted a thread that Dallas RSC wanted 2 weeks to regulate his watch. 2 weeks to regulate???????????? I hope Canada RSC fixes my braclet that quick. I gave it to my AD last Friday and come Monday morning Canada RSC still hadn't received it. RSC is only a 15 minute car ride from my AD. |

I just came back and got the SD back. They also polished the case and bracelet and the scratches that used to be there are no longer there. Great job from RSC in removing the engraving and making the watch look like new again.
