Icon8 UK Newbie

Hi Guys, Hello from North West UK. Just joined the forum after recently purchasing my DJ 116200 with a black sunburst dial.
Of course being a newbie I already need help. Due to the reflective qualities of the dial and hands, in certain lights it is quite difficult to read the watch.
My wife confirms this, as I thought it may be down to an age/eyesight problem. I would really appreciate, if anyone had a picture of one of the target dials on a DJ, or a white with roman`s, if they could either post it or email it to me. as I intend to speak to my AD to ask Rolex to change the dial. I have Rolex`s dial picture list, and quite honestly for someone as indecisive as me, I really do need to see a dial on a watch. To give you some idea, I first became interested in Rolex in 1967 when I joined the Royal Navy, and the importance of chronometers at sea sparked my interest. I then rushed into buying my first one 40 years later. As a newbie I know you will be gentle with me. Kind Regards Baz8

Hi, Baz, and welcome to TRF.

I see you are the impulsive type who only takes 40 years to jump into something.

Some of the rest of us also suffer from that problem. The larger problem is that once we jumped in, we found out how nice the water was and we kept lapping it up. We didn't just stop with one.

Here's a white dial DJ. Granted it's TT, but you'll get a flavor of the white dial with Romans.

BTW, I love your dial.

Hi Baz,

Welcome to TRF. I simply love the picture of that watch you've got. Love the polished bezel, the superb dial and the new style Jubilee bracelet.

The only thing that puts me off the DJs is the smaller 36 mm size. How I wish Rolex would have at least pumped them up to 38 mm. They truly are beautiful in design and aesthetics.
