In honor of JJ.

In honor of JJ, decided today to take the Zulu band off my Sub LV and put the SS Bracelet on it. Will wear it this way for the day. Man, that clasp is big compared to the GMT and Exp. (and a bitch to get the lug pins and bracelet back on!)

Can't no fireplaces in my Hotel here in Dusit, Thailand!!

Will save for future wear as needed, as per traditional Rolex Military Sub.

Actually, looking for someone with a TT Blue Sub to give it to!

WHY? Why would you want some poor guy with a TT Blue Sub up for man-slaughter?

I'm a fan of the NATO/Zulu, but there's now way I could wear it every day. Usually after 2 days I'm dying to get my SS bracelet back on.

Actually, put the SS Bracelet from the GMT on the Sub. Much more comfortable with the smaller clasp. Will never use the dive extension anyway. Usually dive in warm water where wear short sleeve wet suit. If wear full wet suit or dry suit would put on a Nato. The Dive extension does not always guarantee precise fit for difference in suit.

Put the Olive Drab nato now on the GMT. Like the look on the GMT, plus fits better. The Sub is already pretty thick, with the Zulu it sticks up even more. With the Zulu on the GMT is a good fit!

Maybe will see if can sell the Sub SS bracelet or trade for another GMT/EXP bracelet?

Yeah, thats why Rolex use to make a Military Version of the Sub with a Nato for issue to Britain's Royal Marines and Navy.

Think Original James Bond!

I'm a fan of the NATO strap, from time to time I put on the SS bracelet, but after a week or soo, the NATO goes back on.

We can't find a camera bad enough to take the pictures. Even the Nishikas and Asanumas have too much pride to make the needed exposure.

Good looking "James Bond" Nato Erix!

Difference between Nato and Zulu. Zulu is a single strap. Nato has an additional strap that goes through the lug pins and an additional metal ring then ont he opposite side. A Nato strap will make your watch sit up an extra MM than then Zulu, due to two straps underneath the Watch. I prefer the Zulu straps. THey look great on a Sub or GMT!

Remember, Rolex issued out Zulu tyoe strap for their Militaty Rolex Subs issued to British Military and also they issued out Zulu straps to wear with the Explorer IIs for teh Steger Antartica expedition in 1986. THe straps are part of Rolex tradition. THey allow fro immediate adjustment of strap size to accomodate changing wrist sizes that occur in outdoor environments and sporting events, or when alternating clothing (wet suit, cold weather gear, etc..)
