The AD where I live in Upstate NY has a SD I am looking at for $5375. It is an F series. I would rather have a Z series...just me. I was hoping that they could order another one. They told me I would have to put a non-refundable deposit and "see" what they get. It may or may not be a Z and I would be stuck with it regardless.

If I was offered a 5-year old Rolex and it was a F-Series and another one for the exact same price and condition and it was a Z-Series = Z-Series in a heartbeat. Why not? |

Same issue here in Bangkok. Looked at several dealers, at their White Faced Exp II. All are F series. They all say that is what Rolex sends them. No D series or Z series around. Funny, is the Exp IIs all sell pretty quick here. Maybe Rolex takes all the F series that they have still in stock or did not sell and they send them to Bangkok? Would have liked to have gotten the Exp II white face, but turned off by the F series. Keep on thinking it has been sittinga around for over 3 years and will need re-lubed and serviced soon. I guess one coule buy, wear it for a year and then send to the RSC, under warranty, and claim it is running slow and stops, and beacuse it is older needs to be re oiled. They should then do it for free under warranty?

very unlikely.......
upon receiving a customer's watch at the rsc counter, it will be brought to a watchmaker for a check..... if the customer claim the watch was running slow and stopped......the watchmaker will attempt to verify the customer's complaint and replicate the problem..... i dun think they will service the watch unless there is a manufacturing fault.... if the watch is slow, they will regulate the movement.....
