I wear size 9 (medium) gloves, so I guess that I have a medium-sized fist.

But my AD trashed it as non-COSC certified.

I just looked online at a TT Black Sub. It looked pretty good. Just a little different from the Blue. Any thoughts on this one?
Thanks,

That's what I wear and I love it. It goes with anything.

Hi Tomko,
I have to say, and with all respect, that's a salesman talking there. The 14060M is a fantastic watch and shares the same movement as the EXP I which IS COSC certified. COSC is as much marketing as anything. I have non CISC watches (one of which is a 5513, the forerunner to the ND Sub) and it's +1 sec a day. I would certainly go for the 40mm size, you'll be fine. As to whether it's a TT Sub -- in my view the icon of TT watches-- or the classic non-date submariner, a watch steeped in history, take some time and see which really pushes your buttons. Both will serve you well. |

Are you saying COSC is now just a "branding" and the movement no longer get's tested? Put it this way, say one day you're showing your Sub Nodate to someone and that someone says to you "Hey, nice watch. I understand that Rolex sends these things out to be rigorously tested and certified before they put them out for sale". You're answer will be "Oh, they didn't do that with this watch, but they do it with just about all their other models". |

Here's an excellent article on COSC. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...oto=2063&rid=2 Interestingly, while COSC specs are -4/+6 sec a day, certain Seiko models are held to a much higher standard. |

Tomko,
This is not a marriage, just serious dating. And probably cheaper. Buy the one that has emotional attraction. If the infatuation diminishes you can let someone else here on the board date her and you can find yourself a new flame. This might be one of the venues where you're encouraged to be polygamous and it's legal. Cheers, Mrdi |

...and the winner is SS no date Sub. I felt that it fit me the best, was elegant in its simplicity and, without the cyclops, was the easiest for me to read. There is only one other watch that I want to try before buying. It is the TT GMT LN. I checked the three ADs in town and no one has a GMT LN. My AD tells me that it is larger than a normal GMT. Does anyone have any experience with the size of LN v. non-LN GMTs? Thanks,

Congrats!!! The 14060M is a fantastic watch and IMHO a direct decendent to the "tool Watches" of old!
With it's lug hole case and 93150 bracelet it's the last of the breed. Well done!! |

It was sized perfectly for my wrist - although it was a little tighter than I prefer to wear my watches. I'm not sure that it would pass the JJ one finger under the clasp test. The watch was warm, which seemed kind of weird. Whenever I place a watch on my wrist, either at home or at the AD, it's always room temperature - not body temperature. That was the strangest thing about the experience. Now that you've got me thinking about it, I wonder if he would swap watches with me when either of us have a need to try something different for a day. Thanks RolexV3 for asking this thought-provoking question.
