Need help! Sea Dweller...
I recently acquired an S series Sea Dweller, which came as head only. I can't afford to buy a 93610 bracelet at the moment, and really want to put it on a black leather strap. Does anyone have any recommendations? Pictures would be appreciated as well. *Note* I'm not interested in any other materials, such as rubber, etc.-I really just want a nice black leather strap.
I tried to purchase one from a seller on another forum, and the thick spring bars don't fit!!!! Essentially, I would need a strap that is black leather, and has larger lug holes to fit the larger spring bars...any suggestions? Thanks, Ron |

Sure you don't want NATO? I can understand not wanting rubber, but I am not sure that leather is going to look good on a on a SD.
I have never used these guys but I have heard they make great straps http://www.timefactors.com/ These guys too! http://www.broadarrow.net/maratac.htm

Interesting.
I don't believe I've seen an SD on leather.

What about the zulu style of woven nylon strap??? They come in 1 & 2 piece models.

Did you see the composite straps on the Maratac site I bet one of those would look nice.

Can't say I have either...?
Would look good, but IMO not practicle for the watch unless you plan for it to not touch water...

Nato would have been the safest bet, but I'd be interested to see what an SD on leather would look like.

The SD, as you know, is a substantial watch and needs a substantial strap. Hirsch makes a nice padded sharkskin strap. I had one in 18mm for another dive watch for years. I had black with contrasting white stitching. It has a subtle texture and black on black pattern. It would look great on the SD. Take a look. It is supposed to be waterproof, but I changed it to a NATO for wet work.
The Maratac strap would also be a winner, but it's not leather.

Thanks everyone...
I tried to make the holes lerger, but was worried I would rip the leather if I made the holes large enough to fit the spring bars.
The search continues... |

They will build the strap to your spec, punch the holes where you want them etc. I have straps from all of them and they are amazing. |

Since you asked..
SD on black maratec Its a 22mm maratec on a 20mm SD so the fit is not great but you'll get the idea. And some leather.. Again a Pam strap next to the sd but hope it helps. |

I prefer the Nato and grey / black would be a killer on the SD (have to imagine the SD in place of the Speedie )
