El Primo Daytona Prices

I have heard talk that the zenith SS Daytona are going up in value, especially in certain parts of Europe and Asia. I tried on a newer daytona yesterday and loved the feel of the braclet and watch just felt stronger and sturdier than its older model. I personally like the look of the older chrono set up (black dials) upposed to the newer(silver dials) but like the feel of the newer in house movement watches. Do you guys think it would be smarter to hold on to the older daytona for resale purposes?

I paid about $7,000 for my El Primero Daytona about a year ago, and its TT and I LOVE IT. I have seen the white-dialed Zenith Daytonas go for less AND - more often - more. Here's mine:

Here's an SS White-dialed Zenith DT that is COMPLETELY out of control:

Hi,
I have not owned the Zenith movement Daytona, but have owned the new in house one.
The watch is stunning and does feel very solid, but the way the dealers are trying to push the Zenith Daytona's as a collectors watch I'd keep your one if I were you.
I also prefer the thiner hour markers on the Zenith driven watch over the fat ones on the current watch.
Just my 2 cents.

WOW sounds like a good deal!! I bought mine about a year ago but paid 8500. The dealer had two used ones when I was looking which was the white zenith and a white in house both used. He wanted 9000 fo the in house, I chose the zenith for resale I am hoping they will go up in value faster than the newer ones and I do prefer the dial with the black rings.

I have to agree with Mark - keep your Zenith Daytona. INHO, it is a superior watch in many ways (some have already been noted), and will only appreciate in value as time goes on.

Besides, I belong to The Rolex Keeper's Society! My Zenith Daytona is staying with ME!!!

YES!! While many consider the newer movement an improvement, the Zenith powered Daytonas are the collectors watch! If you have it--Keep it!

A little chart to help,
