eBay Scammer Alert

eBay user "vcasalta" wins auctions, pays for item then opens a claim with PayPal and claims to have never received the item.

I produced massive evidence that the product I sold to the buyer was delivered and he changed his claim status from "never received" to "significantly not as described".

Big piece of crap and I might be out $650. Never shipping anything international (Venezuela in this case) again.

Sorry to hear this, I hope it works out for you. I personally only sell and ship within the USA, so if things go south it's a shorter trip for me to go and POUND the guy.

I do think that as long as you have the proof of shipping then you are going to be OK. in the other case he has to send back the item and show proof that you received it before they refund.

either way good luck

It will be a headache but you should be able to win the case once you present all the evidence to paypal. It sucks when the good guys (or gals) end up with the short end of the stick.

I had the same problem recently when i sold a phone from uk to eastern europe. He paid then 2 weeks later started sending increasingly nasty & aggresive emails saying he had not received and was going to open a dispute against me. I eventually contacted some of the people in his feddback who all reported the same thing. Phoned ebay, fwd on the emails and then conacted the buyer telling him what i had done and ebay uk were waiting for him to open his case. Day later i was left with positive feedback saying item had arrived very good but late! I also wrote he should be ashamed of himself!

Paypal's policy is to use a delivery system that is "traced"...i.e. tracking number. It is up to the deliverer to explain why the final acceptance was not recorded. Hopefully you insured, thus the responsibility goes to the Deliverer.
