Rolexy daytona. How to check authenticity?

*sorry for the typo in the thread title, can a moderator correct it please?

Hello all, new member here!
I friend of mine asked me to sell his rolex watch on ebay but since i'm not sure if its a fake or not and don't want to risk my 100% positive feedback, i decided to register here and see if i can get any help from people that know more about these facts.

Can anyone help? I can take pictures of it if i know what to focus on.

On the inside of the wrist there's the 78488 number and bellow are the followings:

ROLEX in a logo
GENEVE
SWISSMADE
ROLEXS in an oval
18K
750
and two more small logos inline cant figure out what they represent.

On the front hour 12 is represented by the rolex logo and under it, are the followings:

ROLEX
OYSTER PERPETUAL
SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER
OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED
COSMOGRAPH

There's also a red DAYTONA inscription above the timer above hour 6

I'll try to post some photos of it if it helps, let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to TRF....

Yes, definitely pictures are needed, impossible to form an opinion without some images.

....

Why are you selling it for your friend? Has the watch been checked by anyone to determine it is genuine? What did your friend tell you about the watch, like where he purchased it! Can your friend afford this type of watch? What is your knowledge of Rolex watches, and why would he trust you to sell it? Are there any Rolex accessories, boxes or a warranty paper with the watch?

Personally, if a friend came to me, and asked me to sell something like a Rolex on ebay, I'd take it to a reputable watchmaker and have it checked.

If he is a friend - it must be a real one.
